Rouge River Valley Park Hillside Nature Trail

We visited the Rouge River Valley Area on a remarkable day January 4th 2007. The temperature was in the low teens and it felt more like April or May. I have visited the hillside trail years ago but forgot just how beautiful it really is here. And right on the doorstep of metropolitan Toronto.

As with most of the Rouge Park the river is the main draw for me and other outdoor enthusiasts and hikers. On some sections you are way above the valley looking down on the river. It makes for some very pretty surroundings.

Our dog Zoi and I came across a couple sections were stairs had actually been built to help get to the top side of the valley trails. There are also some strategically placed benches were you can sit down and rest taking in some spectacular views of the Rouge River Valley below.
